Position:Technical Assistant for the Culinary Arts Program General Duties:To assist the Culinary Arts instructors in providing a safe and supportive class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource to:Director of Career & Technical EducationQualifications: from high school or high school equivalency or be eligible for a Rhode Island Food Service Safety Managers Certificate and possess ServeSafe Food Handlers in current skills and knowledge of food service operations to include front and back of the house.4. Minimum of four (4) years of successful food service or hospitality experience required. Experience acquired through either secondary or post-secondary training at an accredited institution or apprentice training from work- related experience in the food service Communication skills and ability to establish professional rapport with students and Pass a BCI Criminal Background CheckResponsibilities: the instructors in all areas of classroom and kitchen activities including preparation service & event coordination and with the operations of the Townie Pride Cafe: a student run Culinary with materials teacher-directed activities and operation of the kitchen and dining Culinary Instructors with supervision of students to help encourage a safe and professional working other reasonable appropriate duties as assigned by the teacher and/or Director of Career & Technical Education. Part-Time- thirty (30) hours per week during the 2025-26 school year no benefits. Grant funded position.
