We are currently seeking a full time Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all Meridian buildings and grounds in various counties based out of Muncie Delaware County Indiana working M-F 7:30 - 4:00 with with potential 24/7 on call rotation with other maintenance technicians.
Travel is required and candidate must have valid drivers license. Company vehicles will be used to travel to Meridian sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general upkeep of Meridian properties such as plumbing electrical general carpentry repairs drywall painting heating and cooling systems etc.
- Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits switches outlets lighting fixtures ballasts breakers power cords etc.
- Repair install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as lavatories toilets dishwashers tubs/showers water lines etc.
- Repair and painting of walls.
- Inspect buildings including roofs and common areas regularly.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled service requests and/or repairs.
- Perform routine ground maintenance to include clearing ice and snow collecting trash on the grounds landscaping and lawn maintenance custodial etc. to assure safety of patients staff and visitors.
- Conduct safety equipment checks for all facilities which includes fire extinguishers emergency lights exit lights alarm systems company vehicles etc.
- Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Perform on-call in a weekly rotating schedule (24/7) for prompt response to emergent maintenance needs.
- Physical ability to climb and work from ladders do heavy lifting and work in extreme conditions (both hot and cold).
- Must possess the ability to learn and/or operate relevant technology such as computer laptop tablet and/or smart phone and operate a variety of office equipment (fax machine copier scanner etc).
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Must comply with all Meridian policies and procedures as well as Meridians Corporate Compliance Program as it applies to individual job duties the department and the company.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment when completing tasks that may involve exposure or potential exposure to blood body fluids or tissue.
- Tools supplies and a company vehicle will be provided in order to complete job responsibilities.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Combination of education training and minimum of two years general maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial systems components such as HVAC plumbing electrical carpentry
- OSHA Certification 10 hour required.
- Must maintain a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization.
