  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required DoD Clearance Required
  • Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).
  • Estimated Pay: $41.00/hour (Negotiable)
  • Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
  • Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
  • Paid Time Off per Year: 80 hours per year occurring on day one.
  • Sick Leave per Year: 56 hours per year occurring on day one.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiologist Assistant (RA) to join our imaging team. The RA is an advanced practice radiologic technologist who works under the supervision of a radiologist to perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging tasks. This includes conducting patient assessments performing advanced imaging procedures administering contrast media and providing preliminary image evaluations. The RA plays a critical role in improving workflow efficiency enhancing patient care and supporting radiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Completion of an ARRT-recognized Radiologist Assistant program
  • Certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) by the ARRT
  • State licensure (if applicable)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy pathology imaging protocols and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication critical thinking and patient care skills

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist radiologists in performing and managing advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
  • Conduct pre- and post-procedure patient assessments and obtain relevant clinical history
  • Perform fluoroscopic and other radiologic procedures as delegated by the supervising radiologist
  • Administer contrast media and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
  • Evaluate image quality and provide preliminary observations to the supervising radiologist
  • Communicate findings and procedural updates to referring physicians and care teams
  • Educate patients about procedures risks and post-procedure care
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in quality assurance equipment maintenance and workflow improvement initiatives
