The Role
This role will be responsible for building and scaling Fidelity Private Shares within Fidelity Labs. The role is for a flexible and experienced product leader able to balance competing priorities in a complex initiative. This role combines the entrepreneurial freedoms and challenges of building/scaling a new business with the backing and support of a Fortune 100 company.
Defining business strategy and influencing priority based on client partner marketplace and team feedback
Support crafting team structure and resource needs working with functional leaders to source onboard manage and develop talent
Support establishing team priorities and metrics of success that drive accountability across the team
Build solid business relationships that enable benefits for the business and drive the strategy
Provide thought leadership around capabilities tools and use case opportunities
Build positive relationships and understand business strategy across the enterprise to both uncover new tools and capabilities and identify where they can be brought to bear
The Skills and Expertise You Bring
Financial services financial technology or regulated industriesexperience
Product management including demonstrated success defining and launching new products
Capturing customer and marketplace trends and translating to product strategy
You know how the financial services industry works and understand the regulations competitive landscape technology and current trends
Operational experience with the early development of new businesses or startups
Have developed products platforms and services launched them quickly and iterated based on client needs
Leadership & Influence:
A hands-on leader an active listener and are motivated by building a robust team and delivering financial results
Experience being a mentor and builder of nimble and hardworking teams
Thinks strategically and anticipates problems before they exist
Learns new spaces and problems quickly with an intuitive understanding of what the right level of detail is
Ability to build cross-business unit impact by identifying and implementing key changes to meet client and business needs
Help influence key partners by communicating product vision and roadmap

The Team

The VP of Product will own the product delivery of Fidelity Private Shares and serve as a conduit between our clients and our engineering and operations teams. The successful candidate will partner with and influence internal and external technology and business leaders and is motivated by outcome and impact.

The base salary range for this position is $124000-$262000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope geographic location candidates relevant experience and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
