Job Description:

The Head of Stress Testing Aggregation & Reporting is responsible for overseeing the execution of US stress testing activities and the compilation of all US and Canadian regulatory templates for stress testing submissions. This includes reconciliation oversight maintaining financial controls within a strong control environment management reporting & analytics regulatory reporting and compliance.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent setting goals developing staff managing employeeperformance and compensation decisions promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions as required
  • AMCB regulatory stress testing template results provided by Program workstreams are appropriately consolidated ultimately through to required regulatory submissions
  • Manages both internal and external reporting of stress testing financial information and has oversight responsibility for certain aspects of regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Oversees the teams responsible for the production of timely accurate and reliable financial information which includes preparation of the FR Y-14A and required templates for Canadian regulatory Macroeconomic Stress Test (MST)
  • Ensures the provision of timely accurate and reliable financial management information as it relates to stress testingforecasts and the running and enhancement of reporting systems (including compliance with Business Managed Applications or EUCs) which facilitate the production of this management information and includes monitoring regulatory changes
  • Will typically encompass forecasting and variance analysis along with the relevant commentary on variances
  • Prepares key presentations and special projects as required
  • Reviews and implements new Capital and stress testing regulatory requirements as needed and facilitates completion of end to-end impact assessments related to these requirements and associated templates.
  • In coordination with development resources requirements are defined testing of changes and ultimate change
  • Interfaces with senior personnel from finance treasury and risk functions and provides guidance to the group on stress testing reporting issues to ensure the consolidated forecasted financial statements of the group are compliant with externally legislated accounting and reporting standards
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory directives such as SR 15-18 and Capital Rules and participates in regulatory exams as necessary

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
  • 15 years of related experience including US and Canadian regulatory reporting and stress testing
  • General knowledge of US and Canadian GAAP for banking and financial institutions.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial and economic data
  • Strong process and procedural knowledge with the ability to develop interpret and apply policies while maintaining a robust control environment
  • Proficiency in common PC applications visualization tools and financial analysis software (with SAS and SAS Visual Analytics a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational negotiation and communications skills
  • In-depth understanding of banking industry internal financial analysis planning reporting and management accounting practices across various business lines
  • Excellent financial analysis skills including ability to draw appropriate conclusions from large amounts of financial data
  • Management skills and experience required
  • Understanding of related technology requirements and needs including financial systems planning models and report
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present and explain information clearly
