Job Summary
The Operations Analyst II supports the Commercial Medicare Advantage and DSNP Line of Business and reports into the Sales department. This position provides value-added analytic support to Sales leadership. S/he independently designs and performs analyses to measure the key operational metrics. In addition s/he effectively partners with management and staff to identify trends and root cause analyses to be shared with department leadership and the Executive Committee.
Essential Functions
Under the direction of the Manager of Operations Reporting & Analysis works collaboratively with staff and all levels of Sales leadership (Commercial Medicare Advantage and DSNP) and Customer Service (Medicare Advantage and DSNP) in developing key departmental metrics and reporting:
oGathers and analyzes information from multiple sources to provide routine and ad hoc reporting in support of Sales.
oProduces daily weekly monthly quarterly and yearly status reporting to department leadership and the Executive Committee.
oIdentifies trends in Sales performance which will drive future membership forecasts
oProactively conducts root cause analyses to assist management in determining process improvements. Translates business objectives into actionable reporting through the use of reports charts graphs and presentations.
oEffectively interprets data and communicates findings/recommendations both orally and in writing appropriate to the audience
Designs and executes complex data queries and analyses to evaluate the impact of proposed and implemented process improvements.
Develops ongoing means to monitor the effectiveness of business process or system changes (e.g. staff productivity or data quality)
Ensures the validity and accuracy of all data/information reported and presented
Provide support for core Sales System Dynamics 365 assisting with the the following:
oAct as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for application providing assistance to users when needed
oReport system bugs and submit requests for system enhancements to IT
oTest system enhancments and application releases
Works collaboratively with IT to leverage existing technology in order to conduct effective analysis using MGB Health Plan tools and systems
Anticipates and meets or exceeds internal and/or external customer expectations and requirements; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Education
- Bachelors Degree Related Field of Study required (experience can be substituted for education)
Experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience working with and analyzing sales customer service or healthcare data
- At least 4-6 years of data analysis experience required
- Experience using MS Excel to manipulate and chart complex data
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (MS Power BI or other business intelligence software) reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced MS Excel skills e.g. pivot tables conditional formatting and advanced functions and calculations and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data interpretation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
