Community Youth Ministries (CYM) of Reedley CA is looking to hire a part-time ELP Student Support Staff. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PART-TIME ELP SCHOOL DAY SUPPORT PROVIDER
As a Student Support staff you help support local school administration as needed. Your tasks are varied and can range from supervising students from grades K-8 during transitions to helping as needed in a classroom or office. Making the effort to connect with each student you give them the extra individualized attention that they need to be successful in their schoolwork. Your supportive and upbeat energy helps students feel confident and capable. You ensure that they can focus by employing effective classroom management techniques and using appropriate positive discipline. As a role model you are professional and set a good example at all times. You feel great about igniting the light within each student by providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential in order to create stronger students stronger families and stronger communities.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PART-TIME ELP SCHOOL DAY SUPPORT PROVIDER
- 48 completed college units OR a paraeducator certificate
- Passion for instilling a love of learning in young people
Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Are you punctual and reliable Do you resolve conflicts in a positive and restorative manner Are you a team player Do you have a positive attitude and knack for managing groups of children in a wide range of ages Are you flexible and able to adapt to different learning levels and Common Core requirements If so you might just be perfect for this tutoring and activity coordination position!
PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time tutoring and activity coordination position works:
Schedule B: 10:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday (4.5 hrs per day)
