Job Description
Job Title: Supplier Expediting Specialist
Experience: 5 years
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Link into the purchasing team to ensure action is taken on outstanding POs
- Work with vendors to improve operational relationships and quality of response
- Work with the network to promote management of backlog
- Liaise with Branch / Department Managers to close out long-standing open POs
- Review overdue purchase order report and work towards reducing backlog by identifying ways to resolve backlog issues
- Review backorder report to ensure orders are placed and expedited to support customer demand
- Any overdue POs to have an update loaded into Dynamics with the appropriate amount of detail
Skills Required:
Required knowledge
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities preferred
- Experience managing supplier or internal department relationships and holding to account
- Collaborative skills in resolving delay issues and provision of alternate solutions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel
