Systems Engineer for Certification of Electrical Energy Storage Systems (m/f/d)

As a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) for the Certification of Electrical Energy Storage Systems you plan execute and document tests on battery systems as well as their components and subsystems. You continuously ensure product compliance are well-versed in current standards and serve as the main point of contact for communication with testing and certification bodies. In collaboration with the development team you coordinate decision-making processes and also implement measures independently.

Your impact

• Analyze system requirements evaluate refine and specify test requirements and methods
• Integrate products while taking internal and external requirements (hardware and software) into account identify development potential implement improvements including documentation
• Ensure compliance with standards regulations and the current state of the art
• Plan organize and document the certification process for new and existing products
• Support other departments and teams in the market launch of battery systems (e.g. technical service training modules)
• Coordinate and align project work with internal departments and external partners (e.g. research institutes suppliers)
• Assess component and subsystem costs together with the purchasing team and optimize system costs
• Manage product and series maintenance including modifications and improvements

Who you are

You are diligent open to new challenges and a strong team player. To ensure youre successful in your role we are also looking for:

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering Energy Management or a comparable field
• Experience in the development of electrical energy storage systems especially in relation to PV systems charging technology inverter technology and/or e-mobility
• Solid knowledge of the product certification process including the preparation and maintenance of relevant documentation
• Basic understanding of relevant standards guidelines and regulations for the European market
• Experience in life-cycle management as well as with tools such as Siemens Polarion or Atlassian Jira
• Fluent in English and at least B2 level in German
