Why this role
We are seeking a Good Sports Project Officer to join our team supporting an exciting initiative to integrate vaping prevention into our Good Sports program. In this role you will engage with community sporting clubs across QLD about how they can prevent the uptake of vaping in young players and support those who vape to access help to quit. You will do this through the delivery of vaping workshops with club committees training coaches in how to have conversations with young players and delivering information sessions to young players and their parents on the risks and how to access support.
Who are we looking for
We are looking for an experienced project officer who is confident delivering presentations to a wide range of audiences and holding important conversations around harm reduction and minimisation.
Experience and skills that will set you up for success in this role include:
The successful applicant will be required to travel within QLD and have a current drivers license. They will also require flexibility to be able to deliver after hours workshops to community sporting clubs as needed.
A valid Working with Children check is also a requirement of this role.
