Position Overview:
This firm is seeking an accomplished Dispute Resolution Partner to join their Tokyo office. As a Partner you will play a pivotal role in shaping the firms practice not just in Tokyo but across the region driving growth and delivering exceptional legal services to the firms and your own clients. Your expertise in general outbound investigations commercial litigation and arbitration matters will be instrumental in advancing their global footprint and would be an ideal fit for their Asia-wide DR practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex contentious legal matters providing strategic advice to clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Cultivate and expand client relationships leveraging your strong client following.
- Mentor and guide junior lawyers fostering their professional development.
- Contribute to thought leadership publications and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Lawyer: You hold qualifications in a common law jurisdiction or are a bilingual Bengoshi with an overseas client base
- Client Following: A robust and loyal international client base is essential bonus points for blue chip multi-national pharma tech and/or financial services clients.
- Experience: Proven expertise in general outbound investigations commercial litigation and arbitration.
- Collaborative Mindset: You thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Innovative Approach: We value creativity and fresh perspectives.
- Fluency in English: Strong communication skills across the firm are vital. Fluency in Japanese is a distinct advantage but not mandatory.
