Job Description
Assistant Accountant Global Law Firm HKG
A prestigious global law firm is seeking an Assistant Accountant for its Hong Kong operations. Along with handling the Accounts Payable process and General Ledger tasks the role entails supporting other team members in month-end reports account reconciliations and audit and tax compliance providing a great chance to manage regional accounting tasks in a vibrant setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate ledger coding data input for payments and financial inquiries.
- Maintain vendor records asset register and treasury function.
- Ensure compliance with the (Hong Kong) Solicitors Accounts Rules in bank transactions.
- Assist in monthly accounts reconciliations budget and audit.
- Handle ad hoc office duties.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2-3 years experience in an Accounts Payable Team in a global firm with solid understanding of general ledger accounting and finance functions.
- Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in MS Office is essential
- Prior experience in the legal sector or professional services field is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Elite 3E software is a distinct plus
- Good verbal and written English and Chinese language skills is a must
- Able to work independently with good organisational and time management skills
