Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Care Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (35 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we dont offer sponsorship and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: 13.90 - 17.10 per hour

Summary:

Enfield Council is seeking compassionate reliable and committed Care Workers to deliver high-quality personal care and support services to vulnerable individuals within the community. The role involves supporting service users with a wide range of needs enabling them to live independently and maintain dignity and quality of life in their own homes or supported environments. This is a rewarding role suited to individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in peoples lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care including washing dressing toileting and mobility assistance.
  • Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
  • Liaise with families healthcare professionals and social workers as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)

Essentials:

  • Experience supporting older people individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding principles
  • Medication administration training
  • First Aid and Manual Handling certificates

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
