- Internationally recognised qualifications relating to Safety Risk and Project Management Registered Health and Safety Professional Member of recognised professional safety bodies.
- Able to communicate and demonstrate leadership experience across projects and teams.
- HSE focused and ability to create safety conscious environment for Company and Contractor site teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally and relocated to work sites including offshore.
- Be able to work independently with little supervision but strong sense of responsibility.
- A good command of English both verbal and written.
Position Recommended Qualifications Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 12 years of oil & gas experience of which 6 years must be an HSE Engineer position and 8 years must be related to upstream offshore sector. Project and operational experience in a similar role with an Oil and gas Operator an advantage.
- Extensive experience of implementing HSE philosophies strategies and procedures.
- Extensive HSE project experience from Engineering Fabrication through to Hook Up and Commissioning.
- Robust understanding of risk management and risk assessment processes.
- Experience in incident reporting and assisting incident investigations.
- Experience with an international operator of major offshore development projects ideally Gas Production and Processing and Wellhead Platforms experience.
- Familiar with ISOs and Codes of Practice.
- Knowledge of fabrication contractors / entities and experience in working with them.
- Experience acting as Company HSE Site Representative during onshore fabrication and construction.
- Working experience in China is required working experience in South East Asia is an advantage.
Position Role and Responsibilities
- Implementation of Site HSE monitoring and performance incentive programs.
- Focus on Safety in all areas of site execution and job performance for Contractor and Company personnel.
- Monitor Contractors HSE / KPIs against the project plan and prepare / submit weekly and monthly progress reports on installation related matters.
- Assist in audits of Contractor execution and performance in the areas of Site Safety locations ensuring that work is performed in compliance with Company and identified HSE standards and requirements.
- Facilitates communication between the HSE group and the Project Team
- Preparation review and monitoring of the Contractor HSE Plans.
- Manage the safe execution of the onshore HSE Plans.
- Help maintain the HSE Hazard and Risk Registers for the Project;
- Assist in ensuring all execution-phase related actions from Project Hazard Register Risk Registers and Safety Technical studies (HAZIDs HAZOPs Safety Cases) are fit for purpose and closed-out timely and properly prior to Operations phase;
- Ensure effective compliant and safe delivery of all HSE aspects of the Construction.
- Ensure all HSE requirements are implemented and effective for handover to Operations.
- Report HSE Key Performance Indicators to the HSE core group.
- Conduct regular worksite and contractor HSE visits report and record HSE observations and provide improvement recommendations.
- Assist in the facilitation of any Project Incident Investigations.
- Communicate lessons learned from incidents to the remaining part of the organization (contractors other projects / assets core HSE team region corporate)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
