Job Description:
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
TD Enterprise Protect (EP) Technology 1B team partners with TDS Technology Solutions globally to oversee the design implementation maintenance and monitoring of effective internal controls to ensure technology activities remain within TD Banks risk appetite and comply with regulatory requirements.
The team is responsible for overseeing the timely and consistent implementation across all TDS Technology Solutions of all risk control and governance programs initiatives policies and strategic business projects. The EP Technology 1B team acts as the primary contact for the TDS technology working closely with subject matter experts from each of the TDS product families. The team works together with the technology leaders to implement Enterprise and TDS policies frameworks methodologies standards and practices and are key members of enterprise projects / programs requiring TDS representation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Manager EP Technology 1B the primary role of the Manager is to oversee the Technology resources for Audit requests for information expertise and review of submissions with potential findings or risk for the remediation is addressed. Ensuring the clarity of requests accuracy and appropriateness of the responses and evidence supplied. Potential issues are addressed or escalated to ensure appropriate awareness and engagement for response.
As part of key accountabilities of the role the individual will be expected to:
Provide technical expertise and consultation to partners on a broad range of Technology Controls / policies / standards
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Audit workflow and requirements
Facilitate Audit / Regulatory walkthroughs with TD Securities IT stakeholders and internal/external auditors.
Maintaining up to date request tracker and retention/organization of all audit/exam related artifacts in JIRA.
Provide expertise to review Audit request for information (RFI) and the evidence provided is clear/accurate and addressing the risk
Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business quality innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity effectiveness and operational efficiency
Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners program and project managers
Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units
REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of Audit experience (financial services industry preferred).
University or Post-Graduate degree; professional auditing/risk management designation would be considered an asset.
CISA or CIA certification an asset
Strong communication negotiation and organizational skills specifically including the ability to present options in business terms to both IT and business staff including executives
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives or requirements and ability to work collaboratively across functions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Effective time management multi-tasking and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills as well as confident presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
