We are seeking an equally passionate Energy Efficiency Lead Technician to help further our mission through excellent craftsmanship customer service and a team-focused approach.

The Energy Efficiency Lead Technician plays a key role in ensuring high-quality energy efficiency upgrades by overseeing site inspections monitoring installations and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position involves documenting quality control findings identifying and correcting discrepancies and collaborating with contractors and field teams to enhance installation processes. The technician also develops training programs improves quality assurance procedures and supports customer service efforts through technical expertise. Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assemble solar panels and support structures according to specifications.
  • Install solar systems per relevant codes and standards following schematics and instructions.
  • Measure cut and secure structural framing and solar modules.
  • Access residential rooftops and work at high elevations to install and maintain solar systems.
  • Mount racking and electrical equipment with structural integrity.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of installation equipment.
  • Keep work sites clean organized and safe throughout the project.
  • Follow company policies procedures and OSHA requirements completing necessary training.
  • Participate in meetings safety briefings and training sessions as required.
  • Follow state guidelines for workmanship to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 13 years of roofing experience (required).
  • Previous residential solar installation experience (preferred).
  • Comfortable working on ladders scaffolding and in confined spaces (e.g. crawl spaces attics).
  • Ability to work under mobile homes as needed.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Able to obtain DOT Medical Certification.
  • Ability to obtain any licenses or certifications required by state guidelines.
  • Must be flexible based on customer availability.
  • Must possess a valid state drivers license with a minimum of three years of driving history a clean driving record and access to reliable transportation.
  • Willing to complete the pre-employment screening process.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g. high heat cold temperatures).
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders ascend/descend stairs and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings as well as within confined spaces such as attics.
  • While performing the duties of this role the employee will regularly be required to speak and hear. The role frequently requires standing walking using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50-70 pounds.
  • The employee will occasionally need to sit climb balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances distinguish colors maintain peripheral awareness perceive depth and make precise focus adjustments.
