Fiber Optic Technician
Full-Time Hourly Tipton or Sunrise Beach MO
Were seeking a hardworking construction-minded individual to join our team!
This full-time role offers the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment by working on fiber line construction projects across Co-Mo Connects vast territory.
Depending on your experience you may work independently or alongside an experienced Fiber Technician to complete various tasks including new construction installations troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues in existing fiber lines and restoring fiber services efficiently and effectively. To succeed in this role youll perform fiber optic splicing troubleshooting and drop/cable construction using large and small equipment.
On a regular basis you will:
- Perform outside plant construction related to buried and aerial FTTH.
- Perform jobsite and project documentation
- Participate in a regularly scheduled on-call rotation.
A few must haves:
- Ability to operate all assigned equipment including but not limited to OTDR fusion splicer lasher bucket truck and drop plow following the completion of necessary training
- Ability to distinguish colors and clearly communicate Fiber Optic Cable Color Codes
- Ability to climb poles (using own equipment)
- Ability to adhere to all OSHA and DOT requirements
***This position does require you to reside no more than thirty-five (35) minutes (as computed by Google Maps) from the office to which you are assigned.***
