Compliance Manager - Health & Safety

Outskirts of Northamptonshire (NN6)
36000 - 38000

08:00 16:00 Monday Friday

We have partnered with a leading logistics client who are looking for a compliance manager to lead and promote a positive proactive approach to health and safety within the business. This includes ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation fostering a safety-first culture and implementing consistent H&S practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enforce health and safety compliance across their UK operations.
  • Conduct inductions and site tours for new starters contractors and visitors.
  • Create and review risk assessments and control hazardous substances (COSHH).
  • Deliver and monitor health & safety policies procedures and operational standards.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits tracking and closing out actions.
  • Lead investigations into incidents near misses and accidents.
  • Maintain H&S records and statistical data for reporting.
  • Coordinate first aid and fire warden coverage across shifts.
  • Support safety communication including briefs alerts and campaigns.
  • Facilitate H&S training sessions for staff and leadership.
  • Chair H&S committee meetings and contribute to leadership updates.
  • Assess PPE needs and oversee contractor safety compliance.
  • Support business continuity and emergency response planning.
  • Coach and mentor H&S representatives.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • IOSH certification (minimum)
  • NEBOSH Level 3 or currently working toward it
  • Previous experience in a health and safety and or compliance role
  • High attention to detail and forward-thinking approach

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Environmental Management
  • Training & Coaching (Level 3)
  • Dangerous Goods & COMAH awareness
  • Audit experience
