Operated by Healthscope Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community including Surgery a 50 bed Emergency Department Intensive Care Birthing Paediatrics Cardiac Mental Health Dialysis Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has 13 operating theatres one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

About the Role
Northern Beaches Maternity has a large team providing diverse services across public and private maternity care. As a casual AIM you will have a strong patient-service focus demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement and demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes.

**NBH will also offer the opportunity for ongoing employment into our graduate program.

• Work in partnership with women VMOs and other maternity care providers to ensure collaborative centred maternity care
• Provide direct care to women and their families within the AIM scope of practice and level of experience
• Will ensure women are supported through all phases of pregnancy labour and birth and the postnatal period
• Assessing patients using therapeutic skills
• Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

To be successful:

• Successful completion of Year 1 of Bachelor of Midwifery
• Current enrolment and ongoing progress in the Bachelor of Midwifery course with a satisfactory academic record maintained.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to manage shift work (including day & night shifts) over 7 days

If you are successful in the role you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF NSW Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreementa salary ranging from $24.37 - $26.75 per hour.
