KEH Camera a rapidly growing omni-channel retailer and the nations leading reseller of pre-owned camera equipment seeks a dynamic enterprising highly analytical strategic and operations-oriented individual with management/leadership experience with complex physical retail operations to spearhead the launch of a second retail store followed by the gradual roll-out of additional retail locations in key cities around the US. This Head ofRetail will build all operational elements from the ground up do everything associated with launching the second (first remote from headquarters) store in Atlanta and drive a disciplined rollout strategy nationwide
Reporting directly to the CEO the Head of Retail will own development and execution of all aspects of KEHs business in a brick-and-mortar formatmerchandising experiential design staffing operations P&L ownership and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will be strategic and operational blending strong brand thinking with retail innovation and building a seamless omnichannel experience.

What You Will Do:
RetailOperations Development
  • Working collaboratively with the CEO and executive leadership design and implement scalableretailoperations policies and procedures to execute a highly complex business and overall company operating model in distributed physical retail locations.
  • Oversee all aspects of store setup including site selection buildout staffing merchandising and customer experience for the Atlanta store and subsequent locations.
  • Develop and standardize inventory management loss prevention and customer service protocols.
Expansion & Strategy
  • Lead lease and contract negotiations with landlords and vendors to ensure favorable terms and operational excellence new service proposals and budget discussions to drive revenue growth while delivering value.
  • Ensure efficiency and consistency across all locations.
  • Identify evaluate and select high-potential markets for store launches.
  • Define and articulate the KEH retail vision to internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct market research analyze performance metrics and prioritize cities and neighborhoods for store launches.
Leadership & Team Building
  • Recruit train and develop high-performing store managers and staff fostering a culture of expertise and customer passion.
  • Establish KPIs and performance standards providing ongoing coaching and support to ensure targets are met.
Brand Stewardship
  • Ensure every store reflects KEHs heritage of quality expertise and value delivering a unique and brand-relevant shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to drive omnichannel initiatives and in-store events.
  • Serve as a trusted customer experience & employee experience advisor helping retail and corporate leaders optimize store experiences.
Skills Needed to be Successful:
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in retail with at least 5 years in a multi-unit or national retail leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success launching or scaling branded retail environments ideally with experience in specialty retail electronics or high-touch consumer goods.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations merchandising logistics and customer service.
  • Experience managing large-scale capital projects including store development and buildouts.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with a track record of delivering results and optimizing performance.
  • A hands-on entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong ability to align cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic and solution-oriented thinker who can drive innovation within accounts.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence both internally and externally.
  • Ability to measure ROI track success metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Passion for photography sustainability or tech retail is a plus
Language Skills:
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Ability to build merchant category budget.
  • Basic knowledge of applied statistics core machine learning algorithms and basic AI principles
