Strategic Initiatives and Delivery Leader
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Pacific Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Drive business transformation and lead strategic initiatives including Project Everest by providing hands-on contributions and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams stakeholders and global colleagues.
- Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the initiative lifecycle ensuring clear communication alignment on project goals and timely progress updates.
- Oversee delivery across a comprehensive change portfolio setting milestones monitoring progress and mitigating risks to ensure projects meet organizational objectives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team representing the Pacific Operating Office locally and globally to foster positive outcomes and a culture of accountability.
What you need to have:
- Degree in Project Management Finance Business Economics or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in investment or asset management with a strong background in investment operations management or data management.
- Proven experience leading strategic and transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and build strong relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and quality.

- Experience working with third-party financial solution vendors such as Bloomberg Factset State Street Alpha Jacobi or Barra.
- Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams and managing complex projects.
- A strong interest in investment management and financial markets industry.
- Relevant certifications or specialized training in project management or related fields.
