Pentucket Medical Associates Allergy Clinic in Haverhill and Newburyport offers comprehensive care for patients with allergies and immunological disorders. This specialty provides diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as seasonal allergies food allergies asthma and immune system disorders. The team is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and treatment options to deliver personalized care. As part of Mass General Brigham Community Physicians Pentucket Medical Associates has been serving the Greater Merrimack Valley for over 50 years emphasizing a commitment to patient-centered care and access to a wide range of medical specialties.
We are seeking a full-time 36-hour Licensed Practical Nurse to support our Allergy team! This LPN will float to both our Newburyport and Haverhill practices. The desired schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or licensed clinical leader and in collaboration with other team members provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the scope of practice.

Essential Functions
-Interviews patients about current problems medications and allergies and reviews medical records for pertinent previous and current information.
-Measure and record patients vital signs such as height weight temperature blood pressure pulse or respiration.
-Provide basic patient care or treatments such as dressing wounds treating bedsores giving enemas or douches rubbing with alcohol massaging performing catheterizations routine immunizations and/or nebulizer treatments and visual acuity tests.
-Participates in patient treatment regimen including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse).
-Performs variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages and performs triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner.
-Collect samples such as blood urine or sputum from patients and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
-Prepare patients for examinations tests or treatments and explain procedures.
-Help patients with bathing dressing maintaining personal hygiene moving in bed or standing and walking.
