About the team and the role:

We are about to launch a brand-new engineering hub in Germany. Several new engineering teams within the area of payments will be created from scratch in our Dreilinden office close to Berlin. We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer who will be part of the Seller Capital Team and who can help us build exciting products for our financial services at eBay. You will be working on new experiences for millions of customers such as supporting our sellers in understanding finances better and enabling seamless business operations. You will lead the development of modern Java/Spring Boot web applications by developing system designs helping to define the technical roadmap steering the team on all technical aspects and implementing code. You will report to a Manager of engineering as well as work closely with the wider engineering team of the new engineering hub.

What you will accomplish:

• Contribute to the design and development of scalable secure and maintainable software solutions.

• Participate in architectural discussions to drive system-level decisions and innovative solutions; Create design documents and technical specifications for key projects.

• Develop and maintain server-side applications usingJavaand.

• Build responsive and dynamic front-end interfaces with &similar frameworks libraries) adhering to best practices in user experience and accessibility.

• Write clean efficient and well-documented code following coding standards and guidelines & code reviews.

• Develop and maintain unit integration and end-to-end tests & also able to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks/system issues.
  
  

What you will bring:

• Proven experience designing and developing highly scalable web applications (Payments domain experience is plus).

• Strong proficiency in Java particularly frameworks likeSpring BootorJava EE. & front-end technologies particularlyJavaScript and.

• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures & proficiency in working with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases

• Strong command offor building interactive and dynamic user interfaces & Knowledge of state management tools likeReduxContext API or similar libraries.

• Familiarity withfor server-side scripting and integration tasks & front-end performance optimization
