Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade applications preferably in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will take ownership of complex modules drive technical innovation and mentor junior team members. This role demands strong expertise in full-stack development with a primary focus on Java and Spring Boot combined with familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance practices. You will contribute to the delivery of scalable secure and reliable solutions that support critical healthcare workflows and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design development and deployment of Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
Design efficient data models and optimize performance using PostgreSQL.
Build and manage asynchronous communication flows using ActiveMQ.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using Loggly and related tools.
Develop and maintain Docker-based containerized solutions for deployment.
Manage application deployments on Linux servers using Apache Tomcat.
Integrate with AWS S3 for secure and scalable data storage.
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Ensure high code quality with unit and integration testing using JUnit 4/5.
Contribute to front-end development using AngularJS and/or React.
Use tools like IntelliJ IDEA and VSCode for efficient development and debugging.
Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Conduct code reviews enforce coding standards and mentor junior engineers.
Take ownership of modules and drive end-to-end implementation with minimal supervision.
Apply knowledge of healthcare domain standards data handling practices and system interoperability to ensure industry-compliant software solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot and backend architecture.
Proficient in PostgreSQL and relational database design.
Solid front-end experience with AngularJS and/or React.
Hands-on experience with ActiveMQ Docker Apache Tomcat and AWS S3.
Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Proficient in writing and maintaining tests using JUnit 4/5.
Comfortable working in Linux environments.
Familiar with monitoring and logging tools like Loggly.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using agile tools (e.g. Jira).
Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and deployment automation.
Demonstrated experience in code reviews technical leadership and mentorship.
Domain experience in healthcare including understanding of HL7 FHIR HIPAA compliance EMR/EHR systems or other healthcare interoperability standards.
