Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
Experience with research involving animals.
Animal Behavior training and testing.
Single unit neurophysiology data acquisition and analysis.
Skills:
Highly motivated to learn assertive detail oriented organized can prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
Sound judgement strong analytical skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
Experience with Matlab and other quantitative laboratory tools.
Job Duties Outlined:
Conduct research on brain connectivity patterns using chronic neuronal recording techniques in behaving animals.
Assist in behavioral traning of animals
Prepare written and oral reports on research progress and participate in the preparation of manuscripts for publication.
Perform collaborative studies with other research laboratories at KUMC.
Actively apply for Postdoctoral Fellowship funding from various sponsors.
Assist in training other postdoctoral fellows graduate students and research assistants in techniques used for investigation of brain connectivity.
Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Compliance: Attend and maintain compliance on all orientation and training sessions designated by the University and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation understand and follow IACUC animal and biosafety protocols and attend regular lab meetings.

At the University of Kansas Medical Center a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
