Under direct supervision and within established procedures, provides general clerical and administrative support to safety, health, and environmental activities. May collect field data and/or maintain/operate safety equipment in the field.
Must be able to:
- Perform basic computer skills such as data entry
- Be on your feet walking for most of the day
- Perform routine lifts of 20-30 lbs. with occasional lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull carts with materials
- Be comfortable working with chemicals and within a laboratory environment
Optional Bonus Skills:
- 1 years of hazardous waste handling experience is a plus;
- 1 years of chemical or laboratory experience is a plus;
Duties:
- Support EHS&S team with permits, inspections, documentation, and calibration or certification of equipment using established processes/procedures.
- Assist in characterization, collection, transport, and creating profiles of regulated and non-regulated hazardous waste.
- Assist with the final preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies;
- Ensures drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance our company's policies and procedure.
