Position: PGT Psychology
We are hiring for a client who is seeking a qualified and dedicated PGT Psychology teacher to join their academic faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of psychology and a passion for teaching committed to fostering students intellectual and social development.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the psychology curriculum standards.
- Deliver engaging lectures and interactive sessions that encourage student participation.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide feedback on their performance.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Guide students in understanding psychological theories and applications.
- Facilitate discussions on contemporary psychological issues and research.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Maintain accurate records of students academic performance and attendance.
- Coordinate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience.
- Engage in professional development to stay abreast of the latest teaching strategies and psychological research.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Organize extracurricular activities related to psychology to enhance student learning.
- Provide emotional support to students experiencing academic-related pressures.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Psychology or Education.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Psychology at the PGT level.
- Teaching certification or relevant qualification.
- Strong knowledge of psychological concepts and theories.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in using educational technology and tools.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and success.
- Skilled in creating a positive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
- Familiarity with curriculum development processes.
- Experience in student assessment and evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with students.
- Adaptability to incorporate feedback and improve teaching methodologies.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
