Requirements
Looking for a Support Data Engineer to join our Mobility team. On this team you will solve complex problems and work alongside talented Data Engineers Software Engineers Data Scientists Agile Delivery Leads and Technical Product Owners who have a passion for driving innovation in mobility safety and convenience services. We love people who think big and like to get their hands dirty to help us build exciting initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of data and software engineers to deliver big data streaming platform and data management capabilities.
- Develop cutting edge software solutions by writing maintainable extensible tested code while complying with coding standards
- Be hands-on and lead from the front in following best practices in development microservices design and CI/CD methodologies
- Facilitate end to end user testing with customers.
- Troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing systems.
- Work closely with product owners to shape and deliver features to customers.
- Embrace emerging technology opportunities and contribute to our best practices driving overall architecture security design.
- Write full-stack software and tooling ensuring code is well-tested and performant.
- Develop tools and libraries that will enable rapid and scalable development in the future.
- Contribute to all aspects of the software development life cycle across multiple interconnected software products.
- Support responsibilities will include investigating issues our customers have with retrieving data via our data products.
- Debugging APIs cloud services and data lake technologies
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Solid experience writing clean concise tested maintainable code in java.
- Experience building and deploying applications in AWS
- API development experience
- Experience utilizing Spark and SQL
- Experience with Databricks or EMR
- Experience with CI/CD and updating build pipelines and pipeline tasks
- Hands-on production experience working with Big Data platforms building and optimizing data pipelines that involve data processing and streaming platforms
- Experience in test automation frameworks optimizing performance and security enabling delivery of robust and maintainable architecture.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies programming practices patterns and methods
- Demonstrates advanced problem-solving troubleshooting decision making skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers and leaders
- Exhibits integrity and high standards in work quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Backend Platform Engineer Java/Python, AWS We re looking for a seasoned Backend Platform Engineer to drive the design and evolution of internal platform services and cloud infrastructure that fuel developer velocity and operational excellence at scale. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving challenges, abstracting complexity, and enabling product teams to move fast with confidence. Roles and Responsibilities Build reliable, scalable, and secure backend platform services using Java (preferred) or Python, focused on internal developer workflows (e.g., CI/CD, provisioning, bootstrapping). Build core Platform Components of our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), driving self-service capabilities and reducing toil across engineering teams. Design and build Cloud Infrastructure using Terraform and modern AWS services (e.g., EKS, IAM, Lambda, EC2, S3), following infrastructure-as-code and GitOps best practices. Embed Reliability & Observability by integrating monitoring, tracing, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK) into platform foundations. Contribute to writing technical designs, reviewing PRs. Drive Operational Excellence through proactive incident response, on-call participation, and postmortem leadership to improve platform resilience. Collaborate Cross-Functionally with product, security, and operation teams to prioritize platform capabilities that accelerate innovation and reduce cognitive load for developers. Evaluate, upgrade, and implement new tools, frameworks, and language versions (e.g., Java). Assist with creating programs for training and onboarding for new customers. Lead Agile/Kanban workflows and team process work. Troubleshoot customer issues as needed, track all details in JIRA and PagerDuty on-call system Skills/Qualifications 10+ years of software engineering experience, with: 6+ years in backend development with Java (preferred) or Python. 6+ years working with AWS and building cloud-native infrastructure. 3+ years deploying and operating Kubernetes workloads in EKS or similar environments. Deep experience in: DevOps & Automation: Building CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, GitLab Runner, or Jenkins. Security: Implementing role-based access, IAM policies, AD integration, and using security tools for vulnerability scanning and remediation. Monitoring & Observability using CloudWatch, Datadog, and Elastic Search. Expertise in distributed systems, networking, and systems reliability principles. Track record of technical ownership in complex engineering environments. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapidly evolving requirements with a strong bias for action.
