Job Description
Join our team as a senior technical leader responsible for advancing the architecture and core platforms that underpin our products. This Ontario-based position collaborates closely with the executive team and plays a critical role in shaping technology direction with a particular focus on AI-driven solutions robust systems design and scalable infrastructure.
Design and evolve distributed backend systems to support a diverse and expanding product suite.
Lead the integration and deployment of AI and machine learning features across multiple platforms and user experiences.
Formulate and implement technical strategies that align with organizational objectives.
Mentor engineering teams on architectural standards best practices and design methodologies.
Participate directly in developing prototypes and key system components.
Advance DevOps monitoring and system reliability initiatives.
Facilitate collaboration across data science product and engineering teams.
Diagnose and address challenges related to performance scalability and reliability.
Oversee frameworks for security compliance and privacy from the ground up.
Promote a culture of technical excellence mentorship and ongoing professional growth.
Requirements
Over 10 years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in a senior architectural or principal engineering capacity.
Demonstrated expertise in architecting scalable cloud-native solutions (experience with platforms such as AWS or GCP preferred).
In-depth knowledge of system architecture event-driven design and service orchestration.
Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models and building AI-enabled systems at scale.
Proficient in modern programming languages (e.g. Go Python TypeScript).
Skilled in containerization and orchestration technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes).
Strong focus on embedding security and privacy into system design.
Proven leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into actionable solutions.
