You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJoin our client a licensed public accounting firm as they expand with exciting opportunities in Corporate Planning within the Tax Department. This is a full-time In-Office role in Toronto Downtown.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Partner and Senior Associate Taxation with tax planning and reorganizations for our clientele which will include corporations (private and public) individuals trusts partnerships and charities.
Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize liabilities and support client goals while adhering to legal and statutory requirements.
Conducting directed tax research on tax issues to prepare recommendations and insights for client memorandums and presentations.
Managing client relationships and acting as a point of contact for tax-related matters.
Mentoring intermediate and junior tax associates and providing guidance on technical tax issues.
Collaborating with the team and our clients to resolve audits or compliance issues ensuring seamless communication with taxation authorities

Education
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and a university degree are required. Completion of or enrollment in the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Certification program is highly valued. At least 3-years of public accounting experience, with a focus on Canadian tax matters. Proven experience in managing tax compliance processes and leading a team.
