The Junior Paralegal provides vital support to the General Counsel s office assisting attorneys and paralegals primarily with discovery and document management tasks. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to develop practical legal skills in a collaborative fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
Download and organize data from extranet platforms following established file naming and storage protocols
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to assist with data management and analysis
Proofread legal documents including briefs and correspondence to ensure accuracy and clarity
Draft routine memoranda and standard correspondence for attorney review
Maintain case files and document databases updating records and ensuring information is current
Perform basic document review and assist with factual research leveraging electronic resources and coordinating with vendors as needed
Support department projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Skills & Competencies
Advanced proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office applications database management and internet research
Demonstrated strength in organization administrative support and clear communication
Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken); Spanish language skills are an asset
Critical thinker who is reliable fast-paced and an effective team collaborator
Strict adherence to confidentiality and professional standards
Availability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours per week 9am 6pm) with flexibility for overtime as needed
Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree strongly preferred
Minimum of two years experience in a law firm environment preferred
Technical Proficiency
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook 2010 and Windows 10 preferred)
Experience with Relativity and e-discovery tools is an advantage
