Job Description
The graduate Education Program at Saint Josephs College of Maine invites applications for the position of Online Graduate Adjunct Instructorbeginning in Fall 2025.
The online graduate Education programs are informed shaped and guided by the colleges mission and core pillars of health and well-being mercy and stewardship ensuring coherence between academic goals and institutional values. Depending upon the selected specialization: school educator school leader health-care educator or Catholic educator and/or leader each degree/certificate seeking student is guided toward outcomes that support distinct knowledge skills and practical experiences for professionals who are committed to leading in contemporary educational settings.
As a graduate Education program we promote and support our educator-leaders as they pursue success in engaging in transformative leadership ethical decision making application of emerging technologies creativity cultural responsiveness professional well-being and actionable strategies for the evolving needs of current educational environments.
Graduate research capstones are designed using the method of educational action research. This approach prioritizes practical problem-solving in real-world educational settings and seeks to generate meaningful impactthereby embodying the colleges mission in action.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master of Education Ph.D. preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: school leadership school law early childhood education and/or development action research and/or capstone thesis supervision
- A demonstratable ability to integrate current research effective online pedagogical methods and real-world applications into graduate content and instruction.
- A willingness topromote the graduate Education program and its guiding principles coupled with a strong inclination for collaborative work and a deep commitment to graduate student achievement and mentorship.
