Job Description

The role can be based in Auckland CBD or Wellington
Reporting to the Head of Foodservice in the Wellness & Care team the Head of Nutrition will drive a culture of excellence that aligns with Arvidas values and Attitude of Living Well strategy.
This role is responsible for supporting Eating Well initiatives that improve resident nutrition and autonomy as well as assisting with the development and auditing of seasonal menus you will help develop nutritional assessments of recipes in collaboration with kitchen and wellness teams
The Head of Nutrition will also deliver individual clinical assessments create nutrition care plans and have expert support and training in villages as nutrition training is a core responsibility for villages. A key focus will be on building strong relationships with village teams guiding continuous improvement through coaching and leadership and ensuring compliance with food control plans audits and best-practice guidelines.

Along with a high level of integrity energy and drive our ideal team member will demonstrate:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in foodservice and clinical dietitian roles within the aged care sector.
- New Zealand Registered Dietitian with prescribing scope and current APC.
- Sense of fun humility and a balanced perspective on life and work.
- Strong leadership skills the ability to engage teams and confidence managing national initiatives.
- Creativity and openness to new ideas with a self-starting solutions-focused mindset.
- Resilience and composure under pressure with a growth mindset and ability to handle feedback
- Mindful self-aware and reflective leadership style.
- Role models self-efficacy and brings out the best in others.
