Description
Summary
Supervise engineering staff to assure an efficient and effective workflow. Assists Manager of Plant Services in planning & scheduling assignments to staff. Coordinates with affected departments when scheduling and executing repairs and projects. Population served based on scope of services in the department.
Responsibilities
Daily supervision of maintenance staff activities. Schedule and assign work and provide adequate oversight control and support.
Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies required for the proper functioning of essential equipment and systems for electrical systems.
Coordinate and actively participate in hospital renovations performed in-house. Schedule & coordinate outside contracting for projects repairs & service.
Work with Manager of Plant Services in keeping building in compliance with all regulatory agencies including; JCAHO NFPA OSHA DEC EPA etc.
Audit and assign work orders assign preventive maintenance performance monthly to ensure timely and proper completion.
Coordinate and schedule the monthly testing of the emergency generators and ensure that the test is conducted in accordance with policy and procedure. Update monthly report as needed.
Work on renovation construction and demolition projects.
Perform additional responsibilities and duties as necessary.
Requirements
Associates degreein a building technology field preferred or an approved apprenticeship or other vocational training
5 years in facilities maintenance or commercial/industrial construction. Prior supervisory experience.
Clean NYS Drivers License
