Step into an exciting growth opportunity as an Accountant II where your mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and expertise with Excel will shine.
Youll work closely with our dynamic Finance and Accounting leadership team including the Accounting Manager VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. This role doesnt just stop at numbers; it opens doors to collaborate with visionary business leaders across Delta Defense. In your day-to-day responsibilities youll be at the heart of managing and executing our accounts payable and receivable processes keeping a close eye on our fixed assets and being the go-to person for resolving a wide variety of internal and external administrative requests.

This position requires candidate to live within a commutable distance to our beautiful company headquarters in West Bend WI. Some remote work will be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform entries related to revenue recognition fixed asset accounting and employee expense accounting.
- Perform assigned month-end expense accruals and allocations.
- Transform large data sets accurately to form for entry into the accounting system.
- Partner with business leaders on capturing monthly activity accurately.
- Complete assigned reconciliations.
- Apply accounting knowledge to resolve discrepancies in compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare financial statements for subsidiaries as assigned.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and anomalies.
- Analyze variances and provide insight into performance trends.
- Assist finance leadership with ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience:
- We welcome candidates with a Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education training or work experience.
- 3 years of proven understanding of and practical experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven exposure to an ERP system. Netsuite experience preferred.
- Proven proficiency in Excel.
- Collaborative team player.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and sound business judgment. Skilled problem solver with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with both team members and customers. Demonstrable proficiency in both written and oral communication.
