Description:
The Oaks Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee and coordinate the delivery of healthcare services to our residents. The Nurse Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the highest level of clinical care regulatory compliance and staff development. This position requires strong clinical judgment excellent communication and a passion for working with seniors in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead nursing and caregiving staff ensuring high-quality care in accordance with state regulations and company policies
- Oversee the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of resident care
- Collaborate with physicians families and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Manage medication administration documentation and resident medical records
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare standards licensing and safety regulations
- Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations
- Participate in the development and monitoring of care plans and risk assessments
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide leadership during crisis situations
- Monitor infection control practices and ensure best practices are followed
- Participate in resident admissions and discharges including initial and ongoing assessments
- Maintain effective communication with residents and families regarding care needs and updates
- Support a culture of respect dignity and resident-centered care
Qualifications:
- Current and active RN or LPN license in the State of Michigan (RN preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role in senior care or assisted living
- Strong clinical organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of assisted living regulations and standards
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings weekends or on-call as needed
