The Director of 4 Main/3Tower is a registered nurse who has accountability and responsibility for the operation of the Inpatient Medical - Surgical Services Line on 4 Main and 3 Tower. These responsibilities include providing excellence and quality in patient care delivery fiscal responsibility management and leadership of staff collaboration with medical staff as well as maintaining working relationships with other hospital leadership and positive interaction with families visitors and vendors. The Director is accountable for continuous personal growth and development as well as encouraging and providing opportunities for staff to gain expertise. The Director must possess excellent interpersonal skills problem identification and resolution abilities. The Director is responsible for meeting the standards set forth by The Joint Commission (TJC) DHEC and all pertinent regulatory agencies and the Standards of Nursing Care and Practice. Communicates with physicians about changes in patients status symptomology and results of diagnostic studies. Job Summary/Purpose:
The Director of 4 Main/3Tower is a registered nurse who has accountability and responsibility for the operation of the Inpatient Medical - Surgical Services Line on 4 Main and 3 Tower. Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree or Associates and enrolled in Bachelors program. A minimum of 4 years of work experience as a registered nurse with progressive leadership experience.
Required Licensure Certifications Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

For every 100 additional pounds assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision corrected in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
