Job Description
Description
- Providing the engineering and programming (PLC HMI drives and instrumentation) requirements to maintain and satisfy research and development project requirements
- Assisting in the development test and performance of a SCADA network and all other automation systems to ensure proper operation; making corrections and or repairs where required
- Working with others in a cooperative team to coordinate work and see projects through from conception to commissioning; such teams may include other engineers technicians operators and/or managers
- Conducting control system programming and configuration including understanding particular configuration segments of the overall system
- Conducting system software programming and configuration to include operator interfaces
- Traveling to an off-site location and/or accepts client site assignments when required

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 2-5 years of relevant experience in PLC HMI or SCADA design configuration and programming
- DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use a computer and computer software programs such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook Visio
- Production and basic engineering tasks
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams on control system testing equipment commissioning and field testing
Desired Skills
- Experience configuring and programing Allen Bradley Schneider Electric and/or Siemens PLCs
- Experience using software such as SIMATIC Step7 SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM EcoStruxure Studio 5000 Matlab and Python
- Experience with mechanical & electrical control systems integration
Clearance Information
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
