Job Description
Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Work Assistant for the Child Health Institute of New Jersey at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction and supervision of the PI and Lab Manager the Work Assistant will learn a wide array of applied techniques relevant to their field of study. The Work Assistants will be trained in improving their experimental design skills and their oral and written presentation skills. Multiple resources for career development to aid with these requirements will be provided by the PI. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists in performing experiments related to cell biology biochemistry molecular biology and/or neuroscience. Assists in maintaining laboratory instrumentation such as centrifuges electrophoresis and confocal microscopes. Compiles and analyzes data with appropriate statistical analysis conclusions and future directions in support of further CHI research. Adhere to established performance standards and coordination of experimental approaches in support of CHI research. Keeps clear and detailed records of the analyses performed in accordance with laboratory guidelines maintain data in shared and readily accessible locations present data to the PI and other lab members.

Preferred Qualifications
Interest in learning to perform molecular cellular and imaging experiments a plus.
