Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant for the School of Arts and Sciences Statistics Department. Reporting to the Associate Director of the Department of Statistics the Senior Administrative Assistant provides confidential support related to human resource functions within the department. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Supports of faculty promotions. Coordinates logistics for faculty and staff searches. Foreign national employee and visitor processing. Assists in collection and preparation of reporting data as needed. Maintains and updates HR-related SOPs. Works independently with few direct instructions. Prioritizes work and resolves routine conflicts and issues. Interprets implements and ensures compliance with policies and regulations. Prepares processes and controls records statistics reports and documents. Completes work consistent with an understanding of the mission vision role and goals of the department.
Overview
The School of Arts and Sciences ( SAS ) is the largest academic unit at Rutgers University and the center of the undergraduate experience on the RutgersNew Brunswick campus and is comprised of 41 academic departments spanning the liberal arts. Preferred Qualifications
Must have the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced confidential environment. Experience in higher education and/or with Rutgers systems and processes including Peoplesoft and Oracle. Experience working with unionized faculty and/or staff.
