JOB SUMMARY

Supports teachers in the integration of technology in their instruction and for student learning.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work with the School Technology Coordinator and Technology Committee to plan and implement a long-term vision for technology in the school.
• Advise and assist teachers in integrating technology in the curriculum.
• Evaluate and recommend instructional and administrative software.
• Conduct and/or coordinate technology professional development for all school staff.
• Model effective teaching practices with technology.
• Work with students to develop leadership responsibilities in technology (Student Technology Leadership Program).
• Provide individual small group and large group assistance in using technology.
• Manage the operation of computer lab.
• Conduct the day-to-day operation of the school building network.
• Maintain network integrity and security.
• Collaborate with district personnel and School Technology Coordinator to solve instructional and technical problems for the school.
• Serve on school technology committee.
• Maintain required records.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn to communicate in more than one language at the novice level of proficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree successful teaching experience preferred experience in educational technology or coursework basic technical abilities and knowledge about computers and related technology.

Licenses or Certifications:

• Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate
