Orchard Farm School District is seeking part-timeparaprofessionals to join our teamfor the 2025-2026 school year!

Paraprofessionals provide social physical and academic support and/or supervision in general and special education settings including but not limited to the cafeteria classrooms recess and assemblies. These services may include ambulatory eating and toileting assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 36-60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or DESE-approved20-hour substitute certification course preferred.
- Missouri substitute certification preferred; see how to obtain below.
- Ability to relate to students staff and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to use word processing and data entry systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Ability to squat bend kneel reach walk and standfrequently
- Ability to problem solve situations in a professional and logical manner
- Ability to remain calm and patient at all times
- Ability to motivate students for classroom achievements

An individual who holds this position is required to:
- Assist students with disabilities according to their individualized needs including transferring to and from wheelchairs lifting or positioning
- Assist students with physical care including feeding bathroom needs and personal hygiene
- Assist in managing the behavior of students
- Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students
- Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law
- Participate in staff development training programs faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration
- Help supervise arrival and departure of students and provide supervision and support in multiple settings throughout the school day
- Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
The position is in a regular school setting that is noisy and active. Occassional outdoor activities are required such as loading and unloading students from district transportation and supervising recess.
