Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Grants Administrator for the Child Health Institute of NJ at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction of the Business Administrator the Sr. Grants Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support of all projects grants contracts and other restricted accounts and related functions associated with research sponsored programs and restricted funds activities for the Center for NeuroMetabolism. The primary responsibility of the Sr. Grants Administrator is preaward and post-award management of grants contracts and other restricted funds for the Center for NeuroMetabolism. Ensures sponsored research activities are in compliance with the policies and procedures of Rutgers University and federal state foundation corporate and other agencies. A priority of this position will be post award functions. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Manages the submission of grant and contract proposals to federal state foundation corporate and other sponsors. Provides grant application guidance to faculty administrators and staff. Prepares the proposal budget in collaboration with the Principal Investigators. Assists with the development of internal policies and procedures regarding grant and contract proposals and applications. Provides budget status reports detailed transaction reports projections and other reports to the Principal Investigators Business Administrator Chairs and the RWJMS Finance Office. Reconciles and ensures expenditures charged to Project Accounts are accurate. Reviews and approves MarketPlace requisitions charged to restricted accounts in the Clinical Departments assigned. Ensures grants and other restricted accounts are not over-expended. Ensures the expenditures are allowable and appropriate. Closely monitors salaries charged to restricted accounts within the Clinical Departments.
