This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 9-months.
Job Summary:
The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) is seeking a full-time temporary (40 hours per week) course developer for the Fall 2025 semester from September 1st December 31st. This position will serve the entry-level PharmD program. The primary role of the course developer will be to assist faculty instructors and instructional designers in developing and building courses and exams in the LMS (currently Canvas). This position focuses on the technical and operational aspects of building and maintaining courses to support the instructional designers faculty and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain online and face-to-face course content assessments and tools to ensure a seamless and accessible learning experience for students.
- Manage course content and assessments within the LMS including secure exam setup using Respondus tools and ensuring ADA compliance.
- Serve as the primary contact for faculty regarding educational technology provide training coordinate course timelines and support instructional design needs.
- Act as the first point of contact for student inquiries related to educational technology resolving or triaging issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain course and program assessments aligned with institutional strategies ensuring academic integrity and continuous improvement.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g. ZenDesk Scribe) to track tasks support requests and ensure timely delivery of educational technology services.
Work Location:
Hybrid this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Bachelors degree in education communications information technology information science or a closely related field; comparable experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- One (1) year of administrative knowledge and hands-on experience with course management systems specifically Canvas;
- One (1) year of experience with various instructional technologies and pedagogies such as audio and video recordings authoring software teleconferencing or a closely related substitute.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting faculty and students in a higher education setting;
- Experience with client relationship management and media-development software applications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of HTML coding to design activities in learning management system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new technologies
- Possess a highly professional demeanor;
- Ability to work with diverse student populations;
- Willingness to work collaboratively and inclusively with a variety of personality types;
- Ability to plan and execute duties activities and responsibilities with little or no supervision;

Anticipated Pay Range:
The hiring range for this position has been established at:
$28.00 - $32.00/hour.
The above hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training.
Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Temporary employees are only eligible for sick leave benefits.
