Job Description

About the role:

As the Vertical Integration & Footprint Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies related to vertical integration capacity planning and footprint optimization. You will lead a team (23 direct reports) and collaborate across functions to ensure robust supply chain performance and cost efficiency. Additionally you will play a key role in building our business continuity methodology and contributing to enterprise risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead capacity management initiatives including utilization analysis equipment lifecycle planning and dashboard development (e.g. OEE asset aging)
  • Develop and implement factory role definitions and allocation principles
  • Drive strategic planning and footprint governance including business case creation and follow-up
  • Lead the global footprint network and methodology development
  • Develop and deploy business continuity and risk management frameworks
  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Build strong cross-functional and cross-geographical relationships
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels from shop floor to executive leadership
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by developing talent promoting inclusion and cultivating essential skills across your team
  • Identify strategic focus areas and define how to win through capabilities and systems

Your Qualifications:

  • A holistic business perspective with an innovative challenge-the-status-quo mindset
  • Deep understanding of supply chain logistics and production processes
  • Experience in vertical integration and make-or-buy strategies
  • Able to communicate clearly lead team discussions and give effective presentations to all levels of the organization including senior leadership
  • Strong background in business risk management and strategy development
  • Financial acumen including cost management and business case development
  • Proven ability to manage both local and remote teams
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field
  • Willingness to travel approximately 4050 days per year
