Location: Lawfield Child Care Centre; 45 Breko Avenue Hamilton ON L8V 2R3
Total Weekly Hours: 5 hours/week
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 3:30pm- 4:30pm
Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement includes wage grants): $22.93 per hour

- Education: A Secondary School diploma (or equivalent) is required. A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a strong asset.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working directly with children preferably in a childcare setting with children up to 12 years of age.
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Proof of up-to-date immunization for TB Tetanus and MMR
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen is an asset
- Commitment to confidentiality flexibility and minimal supervision
- Advocacy for diversity equality and inclusion
- Collaborating with staff to deliver age-appropriate programs that foster cognitive physical social cultural and emotional development.
- Supervising children and ensuring a safe environment by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Applying consistent behaviour guidance in line with UFCCs Child Care Centre Program Policy.
- Assisting with daily tasks such as organizing food carts disinfecting tables sweeping floors and managing laundry as needed.
