The Student Life Coordinator serves as a liaison to participating faculty and alumni and provides leadership mentoring and support to participating students in the Henry Semester program while building community and maintaining discipline within the on-site housing and classroom facility.
Leadership and Community Building
- Provide leadership and support to students participating in the Henry Semester program.
- Facilitate communication and interaction between faculty alumni and students.
- Promote community and connection within the student residence.
- Plan non-academic social excursions and facilitate discussions Bible studies and other activities.
Student Relations
- Intercede as necessary to ensure good relations between roommates or between program participants generally.
- Recognize and alert campus leaders to warning signs about students who may be academically socially or personally struggling.
- Encourage students in their responsibilities as interns and students (i.e. punctuality professionalism etc.).
Policy Enforcement
- Fairly and consistently enforce Student Conduct regulations.
- Activate the university student conduct system when necessary by filing a detailed incident report after responding to policy violations.
Christian Witness
- Be a disciple of Jesus Christ to the program participants reflecting Gods love to students of different races national origins sexual-orientations and socioeconomic statuses.
- Encourage thoughtful and genuine Christian commitments.
- Model the life of a servant-leader.
Qualifications
General
- Strong leadership skills and ability to provide guidance and support to students.
- Ability to promote a positive sense of community and connection among program participants.
- Commitment to enforce Student Conduct regulations fairly and consistently.
- Willing to be on-call 24/7 for the duration of the program.
