Summary:
The Director Accounts Receivable will support with strategic oversight to direct manage and improvethe revenue cycle operations to favorably impact accounts receivable cash acceleration and netrevenue.This position will drive operational excellence and accountability through a metrics driven cultureconducting daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).The Accounts Receivable Director will be responsible for defining ways to leverage data formanagement decision making performance monitoring or future planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director serves as the internal revenue cycle liaison for hospital leadership responding tostakeholder needs and supporting revenue cycle related initiatives.
Works with hospital leadership to ensure understanding of revenue cycle processes and metricsand assesses how facilities are performing financially including denials trending and analysis.
Supervises multiple Managers and provides guidance and mentoring. Drives Managers toachieve goals in accordance with established policies. Recommends and establishes changes topolicies or processes that will improve the revenue cycle.
Provides direction and development support to ensure facility strategic objectives are metincluding development of actions plans for metrics not meeting established goals. The Directorfacilitates regularly scheduling meetings onsite with regional leaders to report financialperformance opportunities training and improvement plans with key stakeholders.
Works collaboratively with the Revenue Cycle teams to implement best practices. Provideoversight of billing claims and follow-up items related to the operations of the facilities. Analyzefacility efficiencies and provide feedback for improvements in operations.
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Revenue Cycle leaders and fosters astrong working relationship with supporting organizations (coding IS managed care).
Challenges best practices and seeks opportunities to drive process improvements ensuringstandardization across the region. Identifies training needs to enhance performance andcoordinates deployment with training team. Manages activities and responsibilities of variousfunctions within the revenue cycle.
Assists in the development of broader goals and objectives based on assigned the Companysneeds and ensures continuous improvement in quality operational cost effectiveness customersatisfaction and resource utilization.
Create and optimize an in-depth knowledge of revenue cycle principles practices procedurescontractual compliance and internal controls. Evaluate and/or identify needs for appropriate andkey partnerships such as outsourcing collections underpayment vendors eligibility etc.
Owns revenue cycle reporting. Provides continuous monitoring and active management of allrevenue cycle processes.
Partners with leadership finance team and vendors to ensure that the revenue cycle effortssupport the needs of the organization. Develops work plans that reflect sound hypothesis-basedproblem solving thorough understanding of project objectives and milestones. Createssophisticated compelling communications that command client audiences and motivate clients toaction.
Leads project team by continually assessing priorities the flow of work and timing of deliverableswhile anticipating roadblocks. Creates a positive team environment uses best practicecommunication approaches and maintains a pulse on team morale. Champions professionaldevelopment of team members and helps them achieve their goals through coaching and timelyactionable feedback.
Manages and develops the team talent required to achieve the goals. Develops and executesbusiness initiatives and roadmaps with practice leadership support and product managementteams including practice management system implementations business office consolidationsand supporting technology implementations.
Interact with senior management. Interactions normally involve matters between function areasother company divisions or units or customers and the company. Work is reviewed andmeasured based on meeting objectives and schedules.
Other duties as assigned. Receives any other assignments as needed in the form of objectivesand establishes goals to meet objectives.

Thorough knowledge of project management and strong sense of urgency and drive to produceresults. Understands the big picture and can juggle priorities and understands and is able tonavigate dynamics and politics within practices network support and corporate teams.
Trackrecord of positive conflict resolution in complex matrixed environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills understanding of billing systems platforms (EPICCernerMedhostpreferred) and Method I and Method II billing requirements. Analytical skills toidentify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance process and workflow.
Work Experience Education and Certificates:
Bachelors or Equivalent Experience.
Minimum of 5 years of revenue cycle management experience as a Hospital Business Office Manager orDirector with emphasis on developing and leading teams and C-suite and/or Board presentation experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity to enter data into and retrieve data from computer.
Ability to communicate verbally andinwriting. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to move moderately heavy objects (e.g.manuals boxes of supplies and light equipment.)
Travel Requirements:
Potential 10% - 20% travel depending on projects assigned
