Under the direction of the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimers Research Center and the Brain Modulation & Control Lab at BHI we seek a Postdoctoral Associate to work with digital (smartphone-based) and brain imaging ( EEG or fMRI) biomarkers for cognitive aging Alzheimers disease or other dementias. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including neurologists neuropsychologists neuropathologists and cognitive neuroscientists. The Alzheimers Research Center will develop a research cohort of individuals at high risk for dementia. This cohort will be extensively phenotyped for clinical cognitive genetic neuroimaging behavioral digital and blood biomarker measures. The Brain Modulation & Control Lab in collaboration collects and analyses neuroimaging and smartphone interaction measures from the cohort. Applicants must have experience working in MATLAB and / or Python and experience working with either EEG or fMRI. Ideal candidates will have a background in Psychology Psychiatry Neuroscience Cognitive Science or Biomedical Engineering and an interest in studying the earliest stages of Alzheimers disease. The Postdoc will participate in lab meetings research-in-progress seminars and presentations at conferences. They will prepare manuscripts based on their research aid in developing the PIs grant applications and will be expected to apply for personal grant funding. As part of their career development to transition to the next phase of their career the applicant(s) will be trained in improving their experimental design skills and their oral and written presentation skills.
