SEND Teaching Assistant required in Hammersmith & Fulham to support a student with ADHD
Are you passionate about supporting children with ADHD and helping them thrive in a school environment
A welcoming Primary School in Ealing is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with ADHD. This role is ideal for a patient and empathetic individual with experience or a keen interest in working with children who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder helping them succeed both academically and socially.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Providing focused 1:1 support to a student with ADHD helping them stay engaged and on track with their learning in a classroom setting.
- Implementing tailored strategies to manage attention behaviour and emotional regulation ensuring the student can fully participate in school activities.
- Working closely with teachers the SEN team and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address the students unique needs.
- Monitoring the students progress adjusting support as necessary and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting the development of the students social skills and self-confidence helping them build positive relationships with peers and staff.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with ADHD or a related interest in supporting students with behavioural and attention difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with the student and collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
- Patience empathy and a commitment to helping the student overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
